Spider-Man Homecoming Film Review: The Best Spider-man Film So Far

An action film with some comedy scenes.
Even though there's another new actor taking the helm, this is thankfully NOT another origin story.

Stars Tom Holland, who is playing by far the best wise-cracking Spider-man to date, his age is more aligned to the comic-book character. His age also makes another 2 or 3 further films possible.

Michael Keaton is the 'Vulture'(the villain) but one with some sympathy and a character with an enormous twist. The love interest is a little cliché, but I guess we can't really avoid this central character! Spider-Man's pal 'man in the chair' is a very funny character and really needs further development in subsequent films.

Tony Stark (the mentor) provides a highly technical Spider suit with a heads-up display just like Iron-man's, he installs a 'training wheels protocol' while Spider-man gets to grips with what it can do.

It's obvious that Spider-man is still a youngster and still learning how to be a hero, but the plot is his ambition is to be part of The Avengers.

Spider-man proves himself worthy to be an Avenger by the end.

Stay in your seat as there's the usual post credit scenes.

7/10.
