Keeping Up with the Joneses Film Review - Hmmmm! - Not Great, Not Bad
This is a reasonable popcorn film but not without its faults. Unfortunately, all the best bits were shown in the trailer, you might be as well to watch the trailer x6 on a loop!
Unfortunately, Gal Gadot was probably miss-cast. It's hard to put my finger on it, but I just wasn't sure how to take her character. I suspect that, even though I enjoyed her lingerie scene, any film success will probably be due to the trailer containing this scene.
Unfortunately, while it has its humour and action sequences, this is nothing more than a formula flick, full of clichés and some fairly lame dialogue.
There's a total of three or four laugh-out-loud scenes, which were all included in the trailer, and some very short action sequences. I always like a really good (bad) villain as well, but I'm sure a really good (bad) villain would have been wasted.
Not a good film, but certainly not a terrible film, just mediocre all round.
